My favorite Star Wars book EVER!!! I hope Sean Williams makes another Old Republic novel.
The pacing in Fatal Alliance is terrible. The first hundred or so pages drag along horribly. rts to pick up with a cool action scene. . .that is ruined by going on for chapters and chapters. Also, the book is incomprehensable to somone not versed in the time period. Things are very different 3000 years before Luke and Vader's time, and the author does little to clarify this or illustrate what the hell is going on in the galaxy. This is made confusing by the Republic's enemy being identified as "The Empire." If all you've ever seen are the Star Wars films, I imagine this is going to be fairly confusing.
worth reading, but not as good as some of the other books. It does drag on in places, especially the first half of the book. But it ends relatively well.
